Silver congratulations

A friend of mine asked me on the weekend to make a congratulations card for an engagement. I asked if she wanted elegant, or modern, or cute - she said elegant.  This is what I made:
I used the Tim Holtz Lace layering stencil to add some Wendy Vecchi embossing paste that I had coloured with a silver Gelato from Faber Castell, and before it was dry, I sprinked on some Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. I let the paste dry before heat-setting the embossing powder.  I stamped and silver embossed the sentiment from Hero Arts, and then added some more sparkle with a strip of silver glimmer paper from Stampin' Up.
This is one of those cards that the photo just does not do it justice - the lace has so much texture and sparkle!

I will be sharing this card over at Virginia's View Challenge - all about glitter!
