I decided to make two cards, with VERY different looks! They both use stamps from Winnie and Walter, as well as Hero Arts.
For my first card, I stamped the sentiment in black from Winnie and Walter's "The Big, the Bold and the Merry", and added the apostrophe before the word 'twas. To stamp the mouse (from Hero Arts "Playful Animals" set), I needed to stamp the Santa hat from Lawn Fawn's "Toboggan Together" first, then mask it. (I was amazed and delighted at the perfect fit of this hat!) Once the stamping was done, I coloured the image with some Copic markers, then added some white gel pen dots to his eyes. I finished with some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's "Let's Bokeh In the Snow" 6x6 pad.
I wanted some non-traditional colours. I stamped onto watercolour cardstock in Versamark and white embossed three baubles from Hero Arts "Stamp & Cut Ornament", and then stamped the sentiment from Winnie and Walter's "The Big, the Bold and the Merry" in Versamark, and embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I coloured the images and the background using Distress Inks in Pistachio, Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw, with heaps of water. I cut the panel down and adhered it to a hot pink card base from my stash. Some faux stitching lines in white gel pen, some Wink of Stella on the ornaments, and some sequins from Simon Says Stamp finished it off.
It’s not a party without a prize - and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by Winnie and Walter, (a $30 gift certificate - YAY!) so you’ll definitely want to get your hands on it!
