Stamptember blog party at Simon Says Stamp

It's Stamptember! YAY!! I am partying with Simon Says Stamp for the launch of Stamptember! There are heaps of collaborations and giveaways throughout September to celebrate, so let's get started! This post is part of the blog party being hosted by Simon Says Stamp - visit their blog to check out the rest of the blog party-goers!

I used the new "Handcrafted with Love" stamp set, along with the "Heart Mandala" Stencil.  This new stamp set is designed to be used on the backs of cards, on "happy mail" envelopes, on tags to attach to handmade items such as knitted, crocheted, sewn, quilted, baked or stitched items, or maybe on care tags to be attached to these items.  There are SO MANY stamps in this set, there's something for everything!

I used Distress Oxide inks over the heart mandala stencil, and then stamped the "hand crafted" stamp over the top. The distress oxide ink resisted the black ink a little bit, so you can still see the stenciled image within the black stamped image.

I wanted to make another card with this set, so I chose two stamps (coloured with care and the paintbrush image) and created the splashes of colour using Distress Oxide inks and a hand-cut mask. I added some party to the colour using a white gel pen.

Make sure you check out the Simon Says Stamp blog, where you will find the complete list of blog party participants! Each one has a super-special code that you can use at Simon Says Stamp to get a free gift - you can see the special code for my post to your right :)

There are different codes to find at different blogs, so make sure you check out everyone's post - there are some amazing fun gifts to find!

Thanks for visiting :)
