Rainbow happy birthday

This card is a failure. Let me explain.

I made a rainbow of alcohol inks on Yupo. So far, so good. Then I wanted to add some gold foil, but I had left it too long, and the alcohol ink was too dry, so I thought I would stamp glue onto the panel and then add the foil to the glue. That's where it failed. I did get a tiny bit of foil onto the panel (I used a discontinued stamp from Hero Arts), so I decided to make it into a card. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

One Layer Card for Picket Fence Studios

Hello! I have a simple, one-layer card to share today, using a stencil and a stamp from Picket Fence Studios.

I used a partial rainbow of Distress Oxide inks over this Fancy Flourish stencil, then added a sentiment from Favorite Notification. Some clear sequins and I was done!

Be Kind for Paper Rose

I have a soft and pretty card to share for Paper Rose today.

I used the Sketchy Roses stamp set to stamp the rose and leaves in bubblegum ink, and then used the no-line colouring technique to colour with Derwent Pencils. I inked over the mandala stencil onto the card base, stamped the sentiment in Bubblegum ink, and then adhered the coloured rose.

Missing you loads

I've been making and sending a lot of "hello" cards lately, seeing as I can't say hello to my friends in person.

I made a background using a Gel press, a brayer, Distress Oxide inks and a background stamp from Hero Arts (sadly discontinued).  I finished with a die cut sentiment from Pink and Main, and a sentiment strip from Paper Rose.

Masculine sympathy card

Another sympathy card I made a couple of weeks ago - this time, a masculine one. I made about 7 or 8 of these, so I will have some on hand if/when needed.

Sadly, both the sentiment stamp from Avery Elle and the leafy silhouette stamps from Stampin' Up are discontinued, but the dandelion stamp is still available from Hero Arts. This card is a CASE of one I saw on Instagram by Jennie Lundin.

Leaf mandala

I have a card to share today using products from Picket Fence Studios.

I white embossed the Leaf Mandala stamp onto watercolour paper, then coloured it with Zig markers and water. I added a sentiment from the Songbirds set, and adhered my panel onto a kraft card base.

Blue hello for Paper Rose Studio

I have a fun card to share today for Paper Rose Studio.

I cut the Topographic background die to cut from three different colours of blue cardstock from my stash. I pieced them back together in a fairly random order before adhering to a white card base. I added the Large layered hello die cut from white cardstock and white vellum, and layered a sentiment from the black and white sentiment sheets. I finished with some sequins from Picket Fence Studios.

Cute cards at A Blog Named Hero

The new challenge at A Blog Named Hero is to make a cute card. Here's what I came up with:

I stamped the image and the sentiment, did some simple Copic colouring, and then masked around the image and blended some Distress Oxide ink around the edge.

Floral sympathy cards

I made a pile of sympathy cards last weekend - I think I made about 14 in total. I wanted some to send to women and some to send to men.  These are the feminine ones.

I used a stencil from My Favorite Things to ink up the middle of the card with Distress Oxide inks and my Life Changing Blender Brushes. I then stamped the floral image form the Pink Fresh Studio/Altenew collaboration stamp set, and added a sentiment from Taylored Expressions. I finished with some Wink of Stella over the flowers.

Which do you prefer - the blue or the pink?

Let's Connect with Simon Says Stamp

Have you seen the latest release from Simon Says Stamp? It's full of awesome products to encourage you and your friends to connect, even from a distance.

I've been doing lots of "zooming" since March, so this new stamp set, "Let's Connect" had me smiling!

I paired it with the Heart Mandala stencil from Simon Says Stamp, inked in a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks.

Best friend for Picket Fence Studios

I made this card a while ago with some products from Picket Fence Studios, but have only got aroundd to posting it on my blog today!

I inked up the stencil, sprayed it with water and used it to stamp onto my watercolour cardstock. I matted this panel onto a piece of purple cardstock and then onto a white card base. I added a sentiment with a word die and fancy sentiment stamp, and then, with that sentiment, I couldn't resist adding Man's Best Friend at the bottom! I finished with some sequins.

Embossing for A Blog Named Hero

I have another card to share for the current challenge at A Blog Named Hero - Embossing

I used the Butterfly pair Stamp and Cut set, along with the Smile Stamp and Cut set, both from Hero Arts. I added colour using Nuance watercolour powders.
