Ornate stencil birthday

I have another simple stenciled card to share today, this time using the Ornate stencil from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous, with a sentiment from Hero Arts, and some pearls from Stampin' Up.

I'll be sharing this card at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, where their theme is Birthday. Happy Birthday, Simon Says Stamp!

May your birthday be...

Do you remember the "hello" card I posted back in March - if you don't, HERE IT IS.
Well, this is what I did with the rest of the watercolour panel.
I'll be sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - their theme is Birthday, because it is their 8th birthday! Happy birthday, Simon!

Beautiful blues

If you saw my post for the blog hop for A Blog Named Hero last week, did you wonder what I did with the rest of the watercolour panel that I had left over?  Well, wonder no more!

(If you didn't see it, then you can check it out HERE. There's a video and everything! Go ahead - I'll wait ;) )
I added a strip of vellum because I didn't want to obscure the beautiful pattern too much, and the sentiment got a bit lost just layered onto the patterned panel. I then layered the blue die cut sentiment from Avery Elle on top of a white die cut to give it a bit more definition against the background. I added strips of blue cardstock to the top and bottom to give a more crisp, finished look, and I added some Wink of Stella and some clear sequins because. Just because.

Hugs

Hello!  I have a card to share with you today that was published in the February edition of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft for their "ways to use your small dies" feature. Here's what I came up with:
I know, I know! No stamps or inks to be seen!  All I used was cardstock, dies, adhesive and a white gel pen, plus some Wink of Stella.
I actually made a different version at the time, and I had Valentine's Day in mind, but I didn't submit that one because the magazine was to be published after Feb 14th. Here it is, anyway.
When I made it, I made it in the same orientation as the first one, but now I think I prefer it on it's side, so that "hugs" is immediately legible.  What do you think?
