Challenge me a Christmas Card with Michelle Williams

Welcome! Last year, I did a series on my blog where I asked people to set me a Christmas card challenge. This year, I'm stepping it up a notch, by asking crafty friends to join me!
How cool is this graphic!! My crafty friend, Kylie Purtell, made it especially for me! YAY!  You can check out her blog HERE.

Today, the challenge theme is to use washi tape - my workmate, Trisha, saw this washi tape at Daiso, and thought she'd challenge me to use it on a Christmas card.

My special guest today is Michelle Williams - you can check out her take on this challenge HERE.

Here's my take:

I am still not 100% sure if this washi tape is black and silver, or very dark navy blue and silver. I'm leaning toward black now, but when I made this card, I was leaning toward navy, which explains the colour of the sentiment. Either way, this card has a lot of shine from the silver snowflakes on the washi tape, and from the holographic glitter cardstock from which I die cut the large snowflake (unfortunately, the holo nature of the glitter doesn't show in the photo - rats.)
Thanks for visiting!

  1. Wow! What a gorgeous card, Michelle! I love your washi background. I decided it was dark indigo blue, and you can see I chose a blue sentiment also. :-) Thanks for having me join you, it was fun!

  2. Hi Michelle, a stunning Christmas card love the depth of colour with the dark washi tape and the white snowflake, in the first photo it looks like the snow flake is suspended inside the circle... have a wonderful week... Megan
