Everything old is new again at A Blog Named Hero

The challenge at A Blog Named Hero is to combine an older Hero Arts stamp with something newer. Whenever I get a chance to use retired Hero Arts products, I always reach for the Flower Dot Pattern Background stamp. I usually white emboss it, but I did something different this time.

I created an ombre background using Distress Oxide inks and my Life Changing Blender Brushes. I then took the Flower Dot Pattern background stamp and sprayed the stamp with Perfect Pearls in water, then pressed my inky cardstock onto the stamp. I got a cool reaction with the ink reacting to the water, but also bit of the Perfect Pearls shining out. The sentiment is from the newer Smile Stamp & cut set. I finished with some sequins.

Thanks for visiting :)

  2. When you said what stamp you used I thought you must have changed your mind as I expected see more of the stamp pattern show up on the ink. This is an unexpected result and a lovely card!
