Fusion: Thankyou

Welcome to a new challenge at Fusion!

I stamped and white embossed the Flora background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, then coloured it with Zig markers and water. I cut a circle from a scrap of pink cardstock with a stitched cirlce die from Lil Inkers and stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink. I adhered a piece of white cardstock behind the circle and added some sequins.

Make sure you check out all the rest of the inspiration at the Fusion challenge blog, and play along with your own creation!

Online Card Class: Day 17

Julie Ebersole is back for Day 17 of the Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp!
My first 2 cards are pretty direct CASEs of two of Julie's cards:

I think this hello die is from Papertrey Ink, but I might be mistaken. I've had it a very long time, and I didn't label it - oops!

For my 2nd card, I created a stencil using a heart die from Pink and Main, and added a stamped sentiment from Paper Rose.

My third card is a mash up between the classes on Day 17 and Day 11, because I had half of a rainbow left over from day 11 that I wanted to use! The cloud dies are from Hero Arts.

Rainbow border birthday for Paper Rose

Hello! I have a bright and sunny birthday card to share with you today - I made this card last month for my 15 year old niece's birthday. I used the Birthday layered word die and the Ella's Garden Rose Rectangle Frame Background die, both from Paper Rose Studio.

I started by making a rainbow background with alcohol inks on Yupo and adhered this to a white card base. I cut the Rose Rectangle Border die from white cardstock and adhered it over the Yupo panel. I cut the Birthday die from black cardstock and adhered it to the centre of the card. I wrote the word "happy" on a scrap of black cardstock in white gel pen and adhered it to the card.

Online Card Class - Day 16

Kathy Racoosin's class in the Spring Card Camp at Online Card Classes today involved getting two images from one colouring. By letting Copic markers bleed through a piece of 80lb cardstock onto a piece of 110lb cardstock, you get two artsy images. Sadly, this didn't work for me, either because my markers were not juicy enough, or I didn't have enough time to saturate the cardstock enough. But I did get one lovely image from the back side of my coloured piece.

The floral image is from Picket Fence Studios, and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant. This is the back of the cardstock that I coloured - the stamped image is on the other side!

Online Card Clas - Day 15

Ink smooshing is one of those techniques that I love, but I forget to use. Glad that Kristina Werner reminded me for Day 15 of the Online Card Class.

I used Distress Inks on all cards. The die cut Happy Birthday sentiment is from Hello Bluebird.

The stamped sentiments are from Mama Elephant.

The hello die is from Picket Fence Studios.

Online Card Class Day 14

Day 14 - how is it that March and April are going so, so slowly, but the Online Card Class is just whizzing by!
Following along with Laura Bassen's class today.

On my first card, I used alphabet dies from Altenew and a sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions, along with Distress Oxide inks and my Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios.

On my 2nd card, I used alphabet dies from Altenew and a sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions, plus an old background stamp from Hero Arts and scraps of coloured cardstock.

On my 3rd card, I made a panel of strips of coloured cardstock, then added the sentiment with the Altenew alphabet dies and a stamped and embossed sentiment from Mama Elephant.

On my 4th card, I used the negative space from cutting out the letters as a stencil to create the pale letters, and added a sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

Beauty and Song for Picket Fence Studios

I have a card to share today using a stamp and a stencil from Picket Fence Studios.

I used the Flourish Circle Stencil with Distress Inks and my Life Changing Blender Brushes to create the background. I stamped the Beauty and Song stamp and coloured it with Copic markers, but then cut the image down to only use part of it. I white embossed the sentiment onto a scrap of black cardstock.

Online Card Class Day 13

Day 13 of the latest Online Card Class has another lesson from Cathy Zielske, who made some clean and simple cards using a word die. I went with a much larger word die than she did, and used patterned paper on both of my cards.

I used products from Paper Rose Studio on both my cards, including some of their newest patterned paper.

For my 2nd card, I added some bling by cutting the top layer of the Hello word die out of glitter cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

Simon Says Stamp Sunny Days Ahead

There's a new release at Simon Says Stamp - Simon is wishing everyone Sunny Days Ahead!  I was very lucky to be sent a stencil called Mum/Mom/Love that's perfect for Mother's Day (and I particularly appreciate the alternative spellings on Mom/Mum!)

I used the sketchy flowers stamp in the background, stamped in pink ink and selectively coloured with a mid-pink Copic marker.  I then used the new stencil over the top - I put white embossing paste over the stencil, and then sprinkled WOW! clear embossing glitter over the top. I waited until the embossing paste was dry before I melted the embossing glitter with my heat tool. The extra sentiment is from Tiny Sentiments.

For my 2nd card, I inked the stencil up with very pale pink and blue inks, added a black stamped sentiment from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, and then added some Stardust Stickles over the curvy, leafy line.

Online Card Class Day 11

I think all of us are in need of sunshine and rainbows right about now, so Dawn Woleslagle's lesson in today's Online Card Class was right on time. Wishing us all brighter days :)

The dies I used are from Lawn Fawn, and the sentiment stamps are from Hello Bluebird.

Online Card Class Day 10

I missed posting a card for the Online Card Classes yesterday - very busy work day, and then my glitter paste took AGES to dry!

I created a Distress Oxide rainbow before cutting a circle from the middle. I then used this as a stencil to create the smaller glitter paste dots on my 2nd card. I went back to my first card and used a stencil from Stencil Girl Products to add clear glitter paste from Nuvo. The sentiment for the first card is from Pink and Main.

The sentiment for my 2nd card is from Mama Elephant.

Rainbow happy mail

I'm trying to send out more Happy Mail at the moment, but I've run out of cards with appropriate sentiments! (I have heaps of cards, just not with the right sentiments). Gotta make more!

I made a rainbow of alcohol inks on Yupo, then added a sentiment from Mama Elephant stamped in Versafine onyx black and then clear embossed onto vellum.

Online Card Class - Day 9

Another day, another class at Online Card Classes, this time from Channin Pelletier. I've used this technique before, and it's one I love, so I made 8 cards!

I used a stencil from Picket Fence Studios for these two. The top one has a die set and a sentiment also from Picket Fence, the bottom one has a sentiment from Gina K.

These two use a stencil from Hero Arts. The top one has a birthday die from Create a Smile, and a portion of a sentient banner from Taylored Expressions. The bottom one has border dies from Altenew and a sentiment from Mama Elephant.

These two have a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. The top sentiment is from Picket Fence, the bottom sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

For these two, the stencil is from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous. The first sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios, the second sentiment is a die from Hero Arts.
